The creation of the in-site Pasaporte Libre requires the shooting of 4 passport pictures 35x45mm on FP-100C sheets with a Polaroid portrait camera. One of the pictures is used in the passport, another in the application, Consulado Mobil keeps one and the participant keeps the remaining one.
This type of film leaves behind a residual negative that gets reclaimed via a chimical cleansing process.
The pictures documents a person in the citizenship in-between moment.
